Somerset Chamber Choir 40th Anniversary Concert in Wells Cathedral.
27th July at 7:00pm. Tallis’s extraordinary 40-part masterpiece Spem in Alium, in a dramatic arrangement featuring cornetts & sackbuts, will form the centrepiece of this very special concert which will also include exuberant music by H Praetorius, JS Bach’s dazzling Magnificat in D, the soaring lines of Handel’s sublime Eternal Source of Light Divine, and one of Purcell’s most popular works, Come Ye Sons of Art.
