Celebrate the voice YOU have and join us for an afternoon of song. Open to those living with Dementia, Parkinson’s, other brain atrophy or those feeling isolated – come along with your partner/carer – you are ALL VERY WELCOME. Enjoy a drink, a biscuit and chat with others before singing starts. Facilitated by Maureen Campbell a trained Singing-for-the-Brain facilitator and Movement Psychotherapist. Tel. 01934 852869.

SAVE THE CHILDREN lunches will be served in Shipham Village Hall on Friday 1st, 15th and 29th November, 13th December at 12:30pm. Everyone welcome to come and join us  for soup, bread and cheese, pickle, homemade biscuits, tea or coffee for £5.50. Pay at the door.
All profits will go to the charity.

St Mary’s Church, Wedmore, 23rd Charities’ Fair 2024. On Saturday 2nd November, St Mary’s Church is hosting various charities to give them an opportunity to sell their Christmas cards, calendars and gifts. This year the Fair will be open from 10:00am to 12:30pm.
This is the 23rd Fair and over the years it has raised thousands of pounds for a wide range of charitable causes. Coffee and Cakes will be available to refresh you in between making your purchases, so come along and support your favourite charities.

Autumn into winter at Loxton & Christon Village Hall –

Enjoy spooktacular fun at our Halloween Party drinks night with buffet on Friday 1st November at 7:30pm. Bring your decorated pumpkins and wear fancy dress to chill! 

Join us for our Christmas Party on Friday 6th December; with festive bar, Father Christmas’s grotto, tasty snacks and the infamous annual tombola!

Party the night away at our New Year’s Eve bash with bar, American supper and dancing to the fabulous Loxfactor. Bubbly and bongs at midnight!

Axbridge Carers Group is part of CCS Somerset Carers Service. It is a free, informal gathering for people who regularly look after someone, maybe a friend, family member or loved one, in an unpaid capacity. We meet to socialise, share stories and ideas and to talk about our experiences. Professional speakers and service providers also visit to offer support and information. Fourth Monday Afternoon of the month, 2:00pm. Town Hall, Axbridge.

Isle of Wedmore Society – The October meeting will take place on Thursday 24th October at 7:30pm in the Wedmore Masonic Hall. Our speaker will be Sue Goodland (an Education Advisor for Bristol, Somerset & South Gloucestershire) with a talk entitled  ‘Life down the plughole/toilet.’ We will learn what happens to all that waste water when it arrives at our water recycling centres and how it it is turned into fertiliser, gas, electricity and bio fuel.
