New display opens at Cheddar Visitor Information Centre

New display opens at Cheddar Visitor Information Centre.

A new display ‘Cheddar Gorge through the ages’ has opened at Cheddar Gorge Visitor Information Centre.  The display explains how the gorge was formed during successive ice ages and describes significant historical periods over the past 10,000 years, including the activities of the Romans, the Saxons and the Industrial Age.

The display is free to all, and locals and visitors alike are invited.  The visitor centre is staffed by local volunteers, and anyone interested in joining the team should email cheddargorgevic@gmail.com or call in at the centre.
