Cheddar Valley u3a is in full swing again, with groups meeting for the Autumn/Winter sessions. Sadly there are no more Speaker Meetings booked for the time being, as the vacancy for an organiser is still unfilled, so if you would like to take on this role, now’s your chance!

Our Coffee Mornings continue as usual on the 3rd Thursday each month in the Village Hall 10:00am – 11:30am. See you there!

Cheddar Country Market is offering a vast range of goods at the moment. Home made cakes and savouries.Home grown vegetables and fruit. Flowers and plants. Jams, marmalade and pickles.
Craft including cards from various makers, jewellery, knitted items and hand made clothes. 
Too many to list, so come and see for yourself. 
The market is held every Tuesday from 10:00am – 11:30am at the Village Hall, Cheddar BS27 3RB.

The Shipham Inn (Somerset – BS25 1TW) would like to welcome new members to join their regular Mah-Jong Group. 
Whether you’re a novice, experienced Mah-Jong player or someone who would like to learn to play a warm welcome awaits. My hope is that we can make these enjoyable, social evenings playing a game that originated in the Far East.
1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month: 7:30pm start. Free.

Winscombe Mixed Badminton Club invites new members.
Our sessions are every Wednesday from 8:00pm at The Church Centre (St. James’s Hall), Woodborough Road, BS25 1BA. We play (non-league) matches for regular social exercise and fun. Newcomers always welcome, first attendance free. Suitable footwear required, spare racquets available.

Axbridge District Trefoil Guild does not meet in August being School holidays and many members involved in outdoor pursuits and camps. But watch this space as Autumn will kick off with a lunch on second Tuesday of September.

30 to 60 minute Health Walks are available in Churchill and Cheddar, Clevedon, Long Ashton, Nailsea, Portishead, Weston-super-Mare, Winscombe, Worle and Yatton. 
No need to book, just come along!

Learn the life skill that is swimming.
Burnham on Sea swimming club has been established for nearly 50 years. We provide affordable swimming lessons and training for swimmers beginning to learn to swim right through to those swimming competitively.

During August, Lenny’s Community Cafe is open every Friday 10:30am to 12:30pm in St Leonard’s Church, The Square, Shipham, for tea, coffee and cake.  A warm welcome as always to everyone.
