During August, Lenny’s Community Cafe is open every Friday 10:30am to 12:30pm in St Leonard’s Church, The Square, Shipham, for tea, coffee and cake.  A warm welcome as always to everyone.

Cheddar Country Market continues to offer homemade cakes, savouries and preserves. We also sell homemade cards, craft and knitted items.
The market takes place every Tuesday from 10:00am – 11:30am at the Village Hall, Cheddar.
Refreshments and cakes available. Do come and visit us.

Summer Holidays – Cheddar Valley Foodbank.
Busy time ahead. We have been so busy supporting those in need and helping families and individuals with food parcels. We are purchasing more and more food. If you can donate any extra items or pop something into the Sainsbury container, we would be so grateful. 

Whist Drive, every Monday Night at Draycott Village Hall, 7:30pm start.

We are Weston Quilters a lively group of people of all abilities who enjoy patchwork and quilting.  We usually meet on the first Monday of each month at the Hundred Academy, Beaufighter Road, Weston super Mare BS24 8EE. Doors open at 7:00pm for a 7:30pm start. There are guest speakers during the year and the opportunity to buy from our invited traders.

The Axbridge Royal British Legion meeting on 6th August, at the usual time of 11:00am in The Lamb Inn, Axbridge, will be an Extraordinary General Meeting to discuss the future of the Branch. Please members make every effort to attend and join in the discussions.

Hard of Hearing Social Group. Next meeting Monday 5th August.

The Hard of Hearing Social Group meets generally on the 1st Monday of each month 2pm to 4pm at Vision North Somerset, Neva Road, Weston-super-Mare BS231YD. If you have a hearing impairment come along and socialise, swap tips and strategies, attend day trips and activities.

An almost full coach load of members enjoyed May’s good weather on a visit to Chester. So successful was the day that the June trip to Stow on the Wold was fully booked, with a waiting list and September’s outing to Oxford is selling fast. Be quick to contact the Day Trippers Committee if you want to travel! There will be no Speaker Meetings or Coffee Mornings now until September, when we look forward to welcoming you all back.

Mendip Postcard Club – We’re not just about postcards!!
Our members share maps, postcards, stories & a huge variation of memorabilia relating not just to the Mendip area! Jackie’s June meeting ‘Forgotten Treasures of the USSR’ looked back to living in the Communist era! We meet the 3rd Monday of each month, at 7:30pm in Wells Town Hall & you are welcome to join our friendly group.

Go socialize – A sociable group for over 18’s with autism. We meet up the 2nd & 4th Monday of the month. We meet in the Gatsby bar at the Ritz social club Burnham on sea. 7:00pm – 9:00pm. Sub’s are £1.50. (We don’t meet on bank holidays).
