Cheddar Vale Lions Club
Cheddar Vale Lions Club now back hosting the Senior Citizens Annual Tea Party
There were smiles and laughter all round at the Cheddar Vale Lions Senior Citizens Tea Party on Saturday 13 April. After a gap of 5 years, the Club was delighted to be hosting this event again and treating our Senior Citizens to a delightful afternoon out.
Community buses were organised to pick up around the Cheddar Vale area, to transport the party goers to Shipham Village Hall. Lions and friends were busy all morning setting out the tables to feed over 70 Seniors with a delicious tea of sandwiches, cakes plus scones with jam & cream all supplied by a local café owner.
Entertainment was provided with a quiz, Bingo and singing by the U3A Choir members. Everyone had an enjoyable afternoon which was evident from the smiling faces, clapping, laughter and singing along with the choir.
Cheddar Vale Lions Club had been running this event for over many years before Covid and it is now back as a highlight of the event calendar each year, where the members enjoy themselves as much as the attendees, bringing us so much pleasure to see everyone having such a good time. This is a perfect opportunity for those not able to get out as much as they would like, to meet up with friends and experience the entertainment provided.
If you wish to attend, or know of a group or individual that would like to come next year, please let us know by calling 0345 833 7402 or email information@cheddarvalelions.org.uk
