The Hard of Hearing Social Group meets generally on the 1st Monday of each month 2pm to 4pm at Vision North Somerset, Neva Road, Weston-super-Mare BS231YD. If you have a hearing impairment come along and socialise, swap tips and strategies, attend day trips and activities.

Cheddar Lions Club has organised a Coffee Morning in the Methodist Church Hall, Union Street, Cheddar, from 10:30am on Saturday 27th July.
All are welcome to come along and find out about Lions Clubs International and Plastic Free Cheddar to see how we work in the community plus our future plans, including litter picking and a repair cafe in Cheddar.

Weston Hospicecare’s Summer Spectacular Fayre.

Somerset Chamber Choir 40th Anniversary Concert in Wells Cathedral.
27th July at 7:00pm. Tallis’s extraordinary 40-part masterpiece Spem in Alium, in a dramatic arrangement featuring cornetts & sackbuts, will form the centrepiece of this very special concert which will also include exuberant music by H Praetorius, JS Bach’s dazzling Magnificat in D, the soaring lines of Handel’s sublime Eternal Source of Light Divine, and one of Purcell’s most popular works, Come Ye Sons of Art.
Cheddar Valley u3a On the Road with the Day Trippers.
An almost full coach load of members enjoyed May’s good weather on a visit to Chester. So successful was the day that the June trip to Stow on the Wold was fully booked, with a waiting list and September’s outing to Oxford is selling fast. Be quick to contact the Day Trippers Committee if you want to travel! There will be no Speaker Meetings or Coffee Mornings now until September, when we look forward to welcoming you all back.

Mendip Postcard Club – We’re not just about postcards!!
Our members share maps, postcards, stories & a huge variation of memorabilia relating not just to the Mendip area! Jackie’s June meeting ‘Forgotten Treasures of the USSR’ looked back to living in the Communist era! We meet the 3rd Monday of each month, at 7:30pm in Wells Town Hall & you are welcome to join our friendly group.
We’re having a pop up fabric shop on Saturday 13th July at Greenways Farm 2, Lyefield Road, Worle BS22 6UT from 10:00am to 3:00pm when Mark Pickles will be bringing lots of cotton fabrics, wadding and haberdashery. We’ll be serving coffee, homemade cakes, light lunches and cream teas in our coffee shop in aid of Freewheelers.
