Winscombe Celebrations for the 80th Anniversary of D-Day Landings

Winscombe will join thousands of communities world wide to mark D-Day 80 with a Beacon Lighting Evening on Thursday, 6th June. At 7:30pm a Documentary short film will be shown in The church Centre, Woodborough Rd, BS25 1BA, followed by:

From 8:45pm The Millennium Green Trust, on The Old Station, Strawberry Line, Winscombe, will be holding tributes and lighting a beacon, joining the nation in celebration. Both events are free and all welcome.

Grant Success – Winscombe Community Association awarded £200,000 from National Lottery.

Following the Community Ownership Fund Grant of £300,000 towards their new community centre project ‘WinSpace’ – Winscombe Community Association have now been awarded £200,000 from the National Lottery.
