Read moreSing2breathe aims to improve breathing and posture through singing and vocal exercises. Aimed at those with lung conditions, the weekly sessions are receiving overwhelming positive feedback. Singing Leader Kate Lynch comments that “it’s not about being a great singer, it’s about using singing to help you breath better.”
The group are supported by Wedmore & Axbridge Community Health Fund and meet on Wednesday afternoons at Cheddar Catholic Community Hall.

We are delighted to be hosting a Public Ceilidh in the lovely surroundings of the Cheddar Village Hall. There will be live music from The Andy McLeod Ceilidh Band, and you are welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks. We are also excited to have the Excellent Fed by Fed and Ben set up outside the Hall selling their tasty pizzas on the night.

The roots of gospel music influence the joyful and inspirational music we enjoy today. Joyful Spirit sing songs influenced by that heritage from artists such as Abba, Dusty Springfield, Marvin Gaye, Toto, ELO, Earth Wind & Fire.
Another Sell out event for Cheddar Valley u3a Rock Band. This was a free event, from our own ‘Vintage Cheddar’ Rock Band with a retiring collection in aid of the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance. The popularity of these dances continues to increase with proceeds contributing to local charities.
Our Speaker Meeting on 6th June at 2:00pm in the Village Hall will feature a display of Elizabethan Costumes by Rosemary Griggs. It’ll be well worth a visit!
At the AGM of the Isle of Wedmore Bowls Club, President Roger Hughes and Shirley Wederell Chair of Wedmore Friends of Weston Hospicecare presented Julian Hall Director of Fund Raising at Weston Hospice with a cheque for £3,500. This amount is the combined totals of the Bowls Club fund raising events and the Fashion Show held on April 13th at the Bowls Club staged by the Friends of Weston Hospicecare.
