Isle of Wedmore Society November meeting will take place on Thursday 28th November at 7:30pm in the Wedmore Masonic Hall. Our speaker will be Tim Moreman with a talk entitled ‘The fallen of World War Two from Wedmore Parish.’ During the month of remembrance Tim will remember and pay tribute to people of Wedmore who fought and fell in World War 2.

RNLI Winscombe & District Branch will hold its third Reindeer Run at 2:00pm on Sunday 8th December at Winscombe Cricket Club, 31 The Lynch, Winscombe BS25 1AP. Runners of all standards welcome; there will be a 2.5 Km Santa Claus Trail (Open to all) and a 5 Km Reindeer Trail (Minimum age 11). Both Trails are Off-Road and Fancy Dress welcome. Runners are encouraged to get sponsorship and bring supporters as drinks and refreshments will be available.

The local Weston-super-Mare Macular Society Group covering Weston Clevedon Winscombe meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month 10:30am to 12:30pm at St Peter’s Church Hall, Baytree Road, Weston-super-Mare BS22 8HG.
The group is for anyone affected by central vision loss, AMD wet or dry. We have presentations on a variety of topics including useful appliances, helpful organisations and local interest such as RNIB and GWR.
